Sintra Retail Park, located 15km west of Lisbon, was Miller Developments debut on the international stage and in joint venture with Sonae Sierra was a major success.    

Miller was responsible for introducing the retail park format to Portugal and with local expertise supplied by the JV partners, when the 181,500 sq ft (17,300 m²) Retail Park opened in November 2000, it was fully let.  

More than a dozen of Portugals’ top retailers are included in the line up alongside Pizza Hut and McDonalds.

Sintra was a textbook example of international co-operation and the starting point for Miller Developments push into the Portuguese market place.

Sintra was sold in 2004 to the Continental Europe Retail Fund of Pillar Property.
