Change of Use

This 28 acre former foundry in Lanarkshire, which was fundamental to steel production in West Scotland prior to its closure, was purchased from Corus UK Limited in November 2007 for residential development.  The site is now allocated for residential development in the emerging North Lanarkshire Local Plan, outline planning for up to 300 units has been granted and Miller Homes is building out in joint venture.
