Fields End occupies a 30 acre reclaimed colliery site and is a Barnsley Miller Partnership Limited (BMPL) project. BMPL is the joint venture between Miller Developments and Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Council.
BMPL works very closely with inward investment agencies to ensure that occupiers can make the most of the help available, including Regional Selective Assistance and Training Grants.
Home to a number of local and international tenants, Fields End has an impressive occupier line up including American refrigeration giant True Corporation, who make drinks chiller units for companies such as Coca-Cola and Chapelthorne plc who let a 67,000 sq ft (6224m²) industrial/warehouse unit known as Midas in late 2006.
Purpose-built facilities at Fields End include an 18,000 sq ft (1,700m²) distribution warehouse for Peugeot subsidiary Gefco; a 25,000 sq ft (2,300m²) factory for US medical packaging company Kenpak (Europe) Ltd and premises for Andrassy Marquees and Speedframe. A turnkey freehold package for a 93,000 sq ft (8,640m²) warehouse was completed for Portwest Clothing Limited.
BMPL created a joint venture with Cannock Developments for the construction of Fields End Office Village, nine individual offices comprising 97,000 sq ft (9,012m²) of B1 offices in Units from 8,000 sq ft (743m²) and 47,000 sq ft (4,366m²) of B2 B8 Units.
