Sky and Elonics on Same Frequency at Alba Business Park
Miller Developments has secured a further two lettings at the Alba Centre, Livingston, bringing the occupancy level to 75%.
The lettings to Sky, the British Broadcasting Group and Elonics, a mixed-signal semiconductor company specialising in the design and development of multi-band radio frequency products, total in excess of 8,000 sq ft.
Alistair MacKenzie, Director, Alba Business Park, said: “These lettings to Sky and Elonics are a significant milestone in the development of Alba Business Park. Alba’s reputation as an attractive, quality business park is reflected by its impressive tenant line up. Adding Sky and Elonics to this line up demonstrates that Alba is a prime business location for the UK’s leading companies, providing an ideal environment for businesses to expand.
“With further lettings in the pipeline, Alba is entering a new and exciting phase of development, which is refreshing considering the current challenging market conditions.”
Pamela Grant, Development Director, Miller Developments, said: “The new lettings at Alba are in line with our current strategy which is seeing us focus on the UK market. Alba is growing in reputation as a central Scotland business park with big named occupiers including Quintiles, Glenmorangie and BSkyB.
“Sky first came to the park in January this year and we are delighted they will now operate their training facility from the first floor of the Alba Centre. Elonics have been a tenant for a number of years and are doubling their floor space in the Alba centre.”
Earlier this year, the Alba Business Pavilions won the award for ‘Projects up to 2,000m²’ at the British Council for Offices (BCO) Scottish Regional awards. The BCO awards define excellence in office space, providing public recognition for quality design, functionality and innovation.
A bespoke office development completed in 2008, the Pavilions boasts a strong tenant line up, including the Jane Moore Trust, Bridge View Consultants Limited, Compass Catering and Edinburgh Napier University.
