Mixed Use

Omega

Miller, in partnership with Royal Bank of Scotland, fought off tough international competition to land this £1 billion, 30 year regeneration project from English Partnerships. The Omega site will create thousands of new jobs and form a major expansion of Warrington.

Omega isn’t just one of the largest projects in Britain; it’s also one of the most significant in terms of regeneration. Situated right in the heart of North West England, midway between Manchester and Liverpool, it lies adjacent to the M62, the region’s main east-west corridor, near to its junction with the M6, the main north-south route. Meriting its own motorway junction (Junction 8), which has already been installed, the Omega site will be linked to local labour supplies via major public transport improvements which are being funded by the development.

The joint venture has now secured planning consent for the first two phases comprising up to 1.6m sq ft (1.49m m²) of logistics centre to the north of the M62 and around 1.5m sq ft  (1.39m m²) of offices and hotel to the southern part of the site accessed directly off Junction 8 on the M62.

Planning consent is due to be promoted for a broader range of uses on Omega South to assist in the creation of a sustainable community.
